Helping Real People In Need
Suffering from dementia is hard enough without having the added financial burden of care.
We work to bridge the gaps that many families encounter by providing access to resources, financial assistance, volunteer legal support, and advocacy. At the same time, we are committed to supporting research and community initiatives that bring hope for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
Empowering Futures: Our Story and Vision
The Big Sky Project was founded on a simple belief: no family should face dementia or Alzheimer’s alone.
What began as a mission driven by compassion and personal experience has grown into a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia—especially veterans—and the families who care for them.
For Us, This Hits Home
In 2023 Kate's mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In 2024 she moved into a home. It was then we realized there is a huge need for help.
Our vision is a future where those living with memory loss are treated with dignity, families receive the support they need, and the sacrifices of veterans facing these diseases are honored with meaningful care and action. At The Big Sky Project, we believe that with the right support and community, even the hardest journeys can be faced together under a bigger sky of hope.
